This directory contains the host software for the remote-sensor setup.

The software is written for linux; if you need a windows version,
that's what the source is for.

The Makefile builds 3 executables:

- cmdline

A commandline test tool mainly used for development. Features a "test"
parameter that sends 1000 short packets to the device and checks the
returning packets, to test for USB communication stability.

- sensord

The daemon that collects the data from the sensors and stores it in a
CSV file or one file per sensor, designed for use with the cricket
graphing system. Call it with "-c csvfile" to produce CSV, "-d
cricketdir" to create files for cricket, or both to create both.

The daemon backgrounds itself and tries hard to stay running on USB
errors, so if you disconnect the receiver, one of your pet rabbits
chews through the USB cable, the firmware crashes or whatever, it just
sits there trying to re-open the device forever.

It logs to syslog, facility daemon, as "sensord".

- spectrum

The host part for the simple "spectrum analyzer", see top-level
README.
